Bait Fish
Bait fish represents one of the most common types of fishing baits. It consists of tiny fishes that are caught in the first phase by using flies or similar baits. Next, theses small fishes are utilized for catching greater predatory fish. Because the tiny fishes reproduce and develop very fast, there is not any risk of extinction from a certain area. Anchoives, halfbeaks and scad are among the most frequently used bait fishes. These species of fish are utilized on the sea. Freshwater bait fish is represented by minnow, carp and any specie that is related to these two. In the ocean, sharks commonly eat the bait fish. Because of this reason, people are warned not to swim in the ocean, because the tiny fishes catch the attention of the sharks.
