Fly reels.Fly fishing is one of the oldest and thus, one of the most popular fishing techniques. It has been used even since antiquity all over the world. The evidences that sustain this are representations in paintings, sculptures and literature. The technique has been developed permanently and as a result of this fact new fly fishing gear has been developed. The reels became part of the fly fishing gear at the beginning of the 19th century. The fly reels that are used in our times are modernized versions. Even though right-hand fly reels are the used more frequently for this technique, the left-hand reels tend to become popular, too.
